Director of 22 modest films in Kannada Kodlu Ramakrishna has completed ÂKaravali Hudugi based on the novel of Bilimane Ramdas starring Neethu and Mohan in lead roles. Known for novel based films Kodlu is now eyeing on a different kind of film called ÂKatheÂ. The first of this film will be having art film treatment and second half will be having commercial contents in it. Kodlu is also taking up ÂSwathi Male after this unique film.
Addressing the media on the completion of ÂKaravali Hudugi that centers on the life of a Dalit woman says Kodlu the central character played by Neethu strives hard to be self reliant in her life. The lady from the lower caste finding rich returns in life falls in love with the village chieftain son and that is what troubles her life very much. This is a mixture of art and commercial pattern film says Kodlu. This is a period cinema and dates back to early 80Âs. Cameraman S Ramachandra has taken full care to capture in his camera complimented director Kodlu.
Kashyap Dhakoji who made ÂPremi No.1 starring Ramesh Aravind and Prema a remake of K Bhagyaraj Tamil film ÂDarling Darling has invested on this film.
According to writer director and actor Mohan the language used in this film ÂKaravali Hudugi is tongue twisting. Neethu deserves full credit for delivering pages of dialogues with ease said Mohan. Swasthik Shanker the actor in 30 plus paltry roles in Kannada who does not take remuneration for his roles has a powerful role in ÂKaravali HudugiÂ.
